Before becoming a neutral, Judge Covello had over 30 years of experience in private practice and service as a judge, including as an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department from 2005-2011. Judge Covello also served as a trial judge in the Supreme Court, Nassau County; on the Appellate Term for the Ninth and Tenth Judicial Districts; and as a trial judge in the District Court, Nassau County. He spent 16 years in the private practice of law, both with respected firms and in his own practice.
Currently, Judge Covello is a partner with Quatela Chimeri, PLLC and concentrates primarily in the areas of appellate and state court practice, civil and commercial litigation, and alternative dispute resolution.
