Richard Hamburger, Esq.

Richard Hamburger, Esq. joins Mediation Solutions as a new chapter in an extensive career that spanned both public and private practice. He is currently a principal at Hamburger & Yaffe, LLP, in Huntington, where his practice focuses on litigation, including trials and appeals, in federal and New York State courts and in administrative and arbitration hearings. He has been a partner in his own firm since 1994 and has earned Martindale-Hubbell’s highest AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating.

Richard began his legal career in public service. He served as law clerk to Associate Justice Bernard S. Meyer of the New York State Court of Appeals, the highest court in New York State, from 1980-1982. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in New York County from 1977-1980 under Hon. Robert M. Morgenthau, where he served in both the Appeals Bureau and the Trial Division.

Having spent more than 40 years in courtrooms and conducting hearings and arbitrations, Richard is an ideal choice to help Mediation Solutions’ clients navigate their disputes and devise successful solutions.

Richard received his J.D. from Cornell University School of Law and obtained his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.  Long active in many community organizations, Richard is a founder of the Long Island Children’s Museum where he served more than 25 years as a trustee.

He is available to mediate or arbitrate cases virtually or in person at any of our offices.
