Mark Goldsmith, Esq.

Mark Goldsmith, Esq. is a partner in the firm of Jakubowski, Robertson, Maffei, Goldsmith & Tartaglia, LLP in St. James, New York. Along with his partners, he founded the firm in 1988 as Jakubowski, Robertson & Goldsmith after starting his career in 1983 as a commercial litigator and then as a negligence trial lawyer for the law firm of Siben & Siben in Bay Shore, New York. While his current firm handles many different types of matters, Mark’s career as a trial attorney has focused on negligence and commercial matters.

Mark currently serves as general counsel to several local, respected, and well-known businesses on Long Island. He regularly appears and practices in the specialized commercial claims parts of the State Supreme Court. He has been appointed as a Receiver, Counsel to the Receiver and Referee in numerous matters by various Suffolk County Supreme Court Justices.

As a trial lawyer for over 39 years, Mr. Goldsmith has tried many cases to verdict before juries and judges in multiple jurisdictions and has brought cases to settlement for his clients for millions of dollars. He brings his knowledge of commercial transactions and litigation, along with his experience in dispute resolution to Mediation Solutions as a mediator and arbitrator of commercial and business disputes and transactions.

Mark has experience representing clients in litigation the of personal injury actions, both plaintiff and defense, employment issues inclusive of harassment wage compliance, commercial matters including dissolution proceedings, partitions, and constructive trust actions.  He has represented parties at trials of all of these types of actions and proceedings, both with and without a jury in both State and Federal Courts.  He has represented municipalities, such as Town of Brookhaven and Town of Islip in matters as diverse as riparian rights claims to personal injury defense.

He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York and the U.S. Federal Court of Claims in Washington, D.C.
