Joseph C. Tonetti, Esq.

Joseph C. Tonetti, Esq.

Joseph C. Tonetti, Esq. is one of the most well-respected alternative dispute resolution neutrals in the business. He has been a practicing lawyer for over 45 years in his own practice, and his experience includes all aspects of personal injury litigation on behalf of both claimants and insurance carriers.

As a result of this experience, Joe understands the pressures facing attorneys and clients on both sides of the aisle. He knows how to deal with the ancillary issues that often arise in the course of a mediation or arbitration, including issues involving liens and Medicare. He takes a practical approach to dispute resolution and advises alternative dispute resolution participants that preparation is the key to success.

Joe has developed and taught continuing legal education courses to bar association members to educate attorneys about alternative dispute resolution and the expectations of mediators and arbitrators, as well as courses on the requirements that must be met for insurance carriers and their counsel to resolve their cases.

Joe began his mediation career in 2010 and has mediated and arbitrated thousands of cases throughout Long Island and New York City.
