Hon. Stephen L. Braslow

Hon. Stephen L. Braslow joins Mediation Solutions after a long career in private practice, public service, and on the bench in Suffolk County. He also served as Associate Counsel to the Speaker of the Assembly, Stanley Fink from 1979-1980.

Justice Braslow has given back to the legal community for many years through his teaching. He was an adjunct professor at the New York Institute of Technology Distance Learning Center from 1998-2003, where he taught business law, hospitality, and restaurant law at the School of Hospitality. From 2003 to the present, Justice Braslow has been an adjunct professor of criminal law and criminal procedure at Suffolk County Community College.

While in college at the University of Miami, Judge Braslow worked as a legal assistant to the Dade County State Attorney, and after graduation in 1974, he worked as an Assistant Claims Examiner for the Department of Labor in the unemployment insurance division. He attended law school at Delaware Law School, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1988. While in law school, he worked as a legal intern for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

In addition to the New York State bar, Justice Braslow is admitted to practice in federal court in the Eastern District of New York and is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
